Social media and video; it’s a hot topic this year and rightly so.

In 2016 there’s been a gigantic rise in the amount of video content being produced and watched online – a short scroll through your Facebook feed will tell you that. There’s no changing this in 2017 either, with many huge brands using creative video content to engage their audiences on platforms like Snapchat and Facebook Live.

For the first Digital Gaggle session in January, we’ve asked video production company Doubleshot Video to come and host a workshop to help you figure out how to make the most of using video for your brand online. So, if you’re a self-professed videophobe and don’t know how to integrate video into your social media marketing or perhaps you consider your filmed content to be less Hollywood blockbuster and more ‘You’ve Been Framed’, then this is for you.

  • What works best on each platform and how each site responds differently to video
  • What aspect ratio, style, length and cropping you need in order to optimise your video
  • Common video mistakes and how NOT to use video
  • How to utilise live video for your brand
  • How to get people to click on your video using thumbnail optimisation

What time do I need to get there?

The meet-up takes place on Thursday 19th January from 5.30pm – 8pm at the Famous Royal Navy Volunteer . Food comes out at 6pm with the talk starting at 6.30pm (ideal for those of you who have to travel after finishing work at 5pm!)
